The Tarangire, Lake Manyara National Parks, and the Ngorongoro Crater offer an extraordinary safari experience in Tanzania’s northern circuit. Tarangire boasts vast landscapes dotted with iconic baobab trees and herds of elephants, while Lake Manyara impresses with its diverse habitats and birdlife. The Ngorongoro Crater, a natural wonder, showcases a unique ecosystem within its volcanic caldera, harboring abundant wildlife, including the renowned Big Five.

SAFARI ITINERARY:

THE TARANGIRE, LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARKS AND THE NGORONGORO CRATER 

Day 1: Tarangire National Park

Leave the hotel in Arusha/ Moshi early after breakfast and drive to Tarangire national park located at 120 km from Arusha. The drive takes approximately 2hrs. After registration at the main gate, your game drive to meet the long awaiting elephant herds starts until 13:00hrs when you will be served your lunch at a picnic site within the park. Your game drive continues until around 15:00hrs when you leave this beautiful wildlife sanctuary and drive to Mto wa Mbu town/ Karatu for your dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Full Day in the Ngorongoro Crater

Leave the camp/lodge at 06:00 hrs with a packed lunch and descend the 610m into the Ngorongoro crater where more than 25000 animals including zebras, wildebeests, elephants, hippos and gazelles will be awaiting. You will be within the walls of this world’s eighth wonder until around 15:00 hrs when you will ascend the walls and head back to the lodge/camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park.

Leave the camp/lodge in Morning after Breakfast and head to the park for the morning game drive that goes on to early afternoon when you leave the park and drive back to Arusha/Moshi/Airport.
