Embarking on a 7 days 6 nights Tanzania safari unveils an immersive odyssey through the heart of East Africa’s wildlife-rich landscapes. This comprehensive overview delves into the intricacies of each day, capturing the essence of the extraordinary wildlife encounters, cultural immersions, and awe-inspiring scenery that define this extended Tanzanian adventure.
Leave the hotel in Moshi or Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park. The drive covers approx. 210km (from Moshi) or 120 km (From Arusha and takes 4 to 2 and a half hours respectively. Your guide will pick your Lunch that will be served at a picnic site within the park. Tarangire is known for its huge multitudes of the savannah or bush elephants and baobab trees scattered everywhere in the park. Other mammals like the giraffe, antelopes, buffalos, lions, cheetahs, Leopards etc, will be giving you a glance as you drive in this wilderness. After the game drive you will leave the park and drive to Karatu or Manyara at a lodge or campsite for your dinner and overnight.
Leave the hotel or camp at 09:00hrs and head to the Serengeti via the Ngorongoro conservation Area. The road is rough and dusty from the NCAA gate that brings you to these huge multitudes of zebras and wildebeests accompanied by hyenas, jackals and sometimes lions as you enter the southern plains of the Serengeti. You will have your lunch at Naabi hill gate and thereafter proceed with your game drive that brings to the lodge/campsite at 18:00 hrs for dinner and overnight.
Today you will leave the camp/lodge at 08:00 hrs with your packed lunch and have full day game drive within the Serengeti National Park. As you know the Serengeti is a huge park and so your guide will decide whether to start with the South East/ S. West or concentrate at the Centre of the park because these are different zones holding different species of animals. After a full day of beautiful sightings surprises and scenes, you will drive back to the camp/lodge for dinner and overnight.
Today you will have a full day game drive in the Serengeti picking the drama from where you left yesterday.
Your day starts early at 06:00 to catch the sunrise and thereafter proceed with game drive for half day before exiting the Serengeti. In the afternoon you will drive to the Ngorongoro conservation area at a camp/lodge for your dinner and overnight.
Leave the lodge/camp at 06:00hrs and drive into the crater accompanied by your breakfast that will be served on the crater’s floor. You will be in crater for half day enjoying the beautiful scenery and approximately 25000 animals that includes lions, zebras, wild beasts, elephants, hippos, antelopes and the endangered black rhino to mention but a few. In the early afternoon, you will leave the crater and drive to the foots of the Ngorongoro highlands at Lake Eyasi area where the bushmen still practice hunting and gathering fruits for survival. You will spend your dinner and overnight at a camp/lodge within the area.
You will leave the camp/Lodge at 05:30 with a cup of coffee to join the Hadzabe in the bush for a hunting expedition. You will then visit the Mangati people who once lived in the Ngorongoro highlands but got pushed out by the Maasai people who took control of the area to date. Your early lunch will be waiting at the camp/lodge and thereafter head to Arusha/Moshi.
