Rongai 6 Days Package

Rongai 6 Days Package Itenary

Commencing from the northeastern side of the mountain near the Kenyan border, the Rongai Route ascends above the Amboseli plains, leading to the summit of Kilimanjaro west of the Mawenzi peak. This less-traveled route serves as the most accessible camping approach to Uhuru Peak. Typically, the descent follows the Marangu Route. The Rongai Route offers two variations. It stands out as an optimal choice during the rainy season, experiencing minimal rainfall due to its strategic location. While this route can be completed in 6 days, it is recommended to extend it to 7 days for enhanced acclimatization.
